Obituary of Douglas Fraas Rayburn
Douglas Fraas Rayburn Jr, a Louisiana native residing in California for the last 10 years passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 at the age of 50.
Doug was a mechanic by trade but there was nothing he couldn’t do or fix. He had a love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was also very passionate about racing, motorcycles, his family, friends and most of all, his daughters.
Doug, or Dougie to a very few that were still allowed to call him that, always had a smile and laugh that was contagious along with a funny story to tell. Let’s not forget to mention how “handsome” he was. He would be sure to remind us all quite often just to make sure we all knew.
He is so loved and will be truly missed by so many.
Doug is survived by his daughters Alexis Rayburn, Rebeckah Rutherford, Meghann Rutherford, Chyanna Tatom (Ricky), Alissa Rayburn, and Alice Rayburn, his brother Joey Nelson (Sandra), his sisters, Lynn Muller, Lori Rayburn Sherrill (Scott), Holly Rayburn White (Jeff), and his Aunt Rose Jensen (Fred). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Douglas Fraas Rayburn Sr & Carolyn Jensen Nelson, his Grandparents Thomas O. Rayburn Sr & Louise Fraas Rayburn, Wilson L. Jensen & Ethel Mae Ruppert Jensen, and his favorite four leg companion, Bayou.
Our family has decided to have a private service at a later date.
