Obituary of Sharon Openshaw
Her Legacy… Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Sharon was born in Portola California. Sharon moved to Oroville at an early age. There she attended Thermalito Grammar School and Oroville High School. During high school she enjoyed cheerleading and she graduated in the year 1957. In 1961 Sharon married Myron Openshaw. They lived happily in Taylorsville California and eventually moved to Oroville California. Sharon worked various jobs; most recently for Arvit Insurance in Chico California. She was a sorority sister, a lifetime member of weight watchers and a devout member of Butte County and California Cattlewomen. She enjoyed helping others, traveling and spending time with family.
Her Family… Sharon is survived by her husband, Myron Openshaw and her two children, Jerry and Jenny; five grandchildren, Morgan, Shyla, Drake, Hunter and Mallory; one great grandchild, Bella Raine.
Her Farewell Service… A Celebration of life will be held at the Eagles Hall in Oroville on Saturday July 22nd 2023 at 1:30pm. Arrangements entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home (530) 534-3877
