Obituary of Karen Lynn Barker

Karen Lynn Barker, 80 years, of Oroville, passed away on Saturday June 10, 2023 

Karen was a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved her animals with a passion, was devoted to preserving nature, and volunteered her time to a number of causes including personal outreach to the homeless and downtrodden.   She opened her home and her heart to anyone in need and she loved Jesus.

Karen graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and began a career as an elementary school teacher.  

She enjoyed making unique arts and crafts, handmade costumes, and going on nature walks with her grandchildren. 

She retired in Oroville, California where she took care of her mom.  In retirement, she volunteered at the Lake Oroville Dam.  Karen never ceased to give of her time and talents.

She will be deeply missed and will live on in our memories.
