Obituary of Robert E Roosevelt

Robert "Driver" Roosevelt, 46 years, of Oroville, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 .

He was born on March 21st, 1977 in Arcadia, California to Bill Roosevelt and Joyce Kimple-Roosevelt. He grew up in Oroville for most of his life, creating lifelong friendships starting in elementary school, and graduated in 1995 from Community High School in Oroville, CA.

Robert started working for Donati Ranch in 2006 and they became a 2nd family to him, He loved working as a Ranch Hand, and driving the Harvester during rice season.

Robert had so much love for his Harley, spending a lot of time just riding on his own or with his chosen family, and was so proud of his bike. He really enjoyed his time riding with The American Legion. He also really loved riding on his ATV, hanging out with his friends, bbqing, bonfires and just living life to the fullest. He loved going to Reno, NV, especially for Hot August Nights every year. But his favorite time of year was always 4th of July, and Christmas. The sheer amount of decorations this man collected and put up every year, including decorating his vehicles and his neighbors houses!

His 2 brothers; Bill and Jon, his 3 nephews and 1 niece. And his parents, Bill Roosevelt and Joyce Kimble-Roosevelt.

His fiance Dawn Horstmeyer(Roosevelt).

And his chosen family; Bobby Thurman, Candy and Jason Leishman, Jason Gray, Tommy and Cassie Keele, and Sandy Schorovsky

His enthusiasm and fierce love will be greatly missed.

Roberts Memorial Ride will be held on April 30th, at 1pm.

Meet at the parking lot on top of Oroville Dam, and follow us through some of Roberts favorite foothill routes.
