Obituary of Michael Richard Barnes

His Legacy... Michael Richard Barnes was born on November 13, 1949, in West Covina, CA to William and Virginia Barnes. Michael passed away surrounded by his family peacefully on April 10, 2023, at the age of 73. He was a wonderful Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Husband. Michael was a proud military Veteran and served our country in the United States Army. After returning home from service and marrying his wife Erin Barnes he would settle down in Oroville, CA where he would find success in the skilled labor trade as a drywall contractor and would serve his community for many years to come until his retirement. In his earlier years Michael enjoyed the outdoors and liked to spend time on Lake Oroville fishing or cruising around on his boat. Late in life he found happiness just spending time with his friends and family along with his dog’s “Mickey” and “Minnie” and watching his grandkids grow up.

His Family... Michael is survived by his wife Erin Barnes of Oroville. His three sons; Ronald Barnes of Sacramento, Ryan Barnes, and Cory Barnes of Oroville. His brother Phillip Barnes of Oroville. His many grandchildren; Hailey and Mia Barnes of Oroville, Brooklyn, R.J and Summer Barnes of Sacramento. Along with many other friends and family.

As per Michael’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
