Obituary of Jackie Lynn Shaw

Jackie Lynn was born on January 23rd, 1958 in Oroville, CA to Jack and Joan (Sinkey) Brereton.  Jackie attended schools in Oroville. In 1975, she married and had a baby (Erica) in her Junior year of High School. She was determined to finish high school, and that she did. She graduated from Las Plumas High School in 1976, an accomplishment she was very proud of. Jackie had 3 more babies, Andrea, Jason, and Tanya. She loved being a mama. She loved to cook and bake, and was the Best baker. She was an avid reader and put a lot of miles on her library card. Her main passion was working in her yard, she had that 'Green Thumb'. Her yard a mini paradise. Most days she could be found pulling weeds and planting flowers. She loved being outdoors, especially camping with family and friends. An adventurous lady, she loved roller coasters, zip lining, white water rafting, and even sky dived once. Jackie was very proud of becoming Sober in May of 2007, and she had celebrated 15+ years of sobriety.

Jackie became a first time Grandma in 2007, and became known as Grandma Jackie. All of her grandkids loved going to her house. She would play with them for hours, and the kids all say she made the Best Quesadillas. Her goodbyes were fun, she would stand in the driveway and point to her eye and say "I" then cross her chest saying "Love" and then point to 'You". I love you.

Jackie cleaned houses professionally for years, she worked at a title company, and made soaps for her family's soap factory.  But every summer for 38 years, Jackie worked for PCP (Pacific Coast Producers). She held many different positions over the years. The last few, she was a shift supervisor aka 'White Hat'. Everyone loved her, she was a hard worker, as well as beautiful, kind, thoughful, sweet, funny, and when needed, onery.

Jackie is survived by her partner in life, Ronny Owens. He referred to her as "My Angel". As well as her children, son Jason Torres (Crystal), Daughters Erica Torres Ott (Loren), Andrea Torres (Mike), Tanya Shaw (Bryce), stepdaughter Karissa Nelson (Andy) and stepson Dusty Owens (Tara). Her sisters Terri Geroy and Dawn Barrett. Brothers Butch and David Brereton. Her beloved 15 grandchildren. As well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
