Obituary of Steven Wayne Hughes

A memorial graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery, Gridley CA, for Steven Wayne Hughes, 62, of Gridley, who passed away August 7, 2016 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Steven was born February 27, 1954 in Marysville, CA to George A. and Elaine Lamp Hughes. Steven was long time resident of Butte County. He attended local schools and graduated from Gridley High School, Class of ’72. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from California State University in Chico. Steven drove truck for several years and had a local composting business. In his spare time he loved traveling and scuba diving. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elaine Hughes. Steven is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Kathy Hughes of Gridley, one son, Mike (Karen) French of Gridley, one daughter, Jessie (Milt) Radley of Gridley, his sister, Linda (Steve) Olinger of Washington and his grandson Henry Radley of Gridley.
