Obituary of Vernon Boulder O'Brien

Vernon (Vern) Boulder O’Brien was born in Boulder, CO on September 8, 1927 and passed away in Oroville, CA on February 27, 2023.

He leaves behind three children, Verna, Bill and Pam. In addition, he leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Marvin and Jessie O’Brien, his wife, Ginger, identical twin brother, Victor and brother Marvin.

Vern enlisted in the Navy in August of 1945, and served aboard the USS Iowa and was honorably discharged in August of 1948. In November of 1945, he married Lennie Lee (Ginger) Strahan who passed away on October 9, 2011. After leaving the service he moved to California where he worked for Rainbo Bread Company for 45 years, retiring as a supervisor. After retirement he went back to work for Orchards Supply Store in Yuba City where he worked 18 years. Vern was a hardworking man with exceptional work ethnic and integrity. Vern had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. Vern retired for the second time at the age of 86. His family will celebrate his life privately
