Obituary of Virginia Dare Banks

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery for Virginia Dare McCoy Banks, who passed away Friday, July 29, 2016. She was born November 25, 1924 in Dubach, Louisiana to the late Oscar and Annie McCoy. Virginia enjoyed creating a gracious home, raising her pet dogs, growing flowers and plants, sewing and crocheting. She especially love preparing delicious meals and will always be remembered for her beauty, wit and playful sense of humor. In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her husband of 73 years Ransom (Paul) Banks, who died in 2012, son David Banks, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 1 son, Bill (Dee) Banks of Los Banous, 2 daughters, Linda (Konstantin) Gortinsky of Occidental, CA, Susan (Michael) Kehoe of Biggs, CA, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Pastor Rick Howeth of the Father’s House in Live Oak will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
