My heart is so sad that Mary Jane decided to go to Heaven to be with Randy as she left all of us here on earth to miss her. Such a wonderful, beautiful, fun lady and friend; she will be dearly missed.
A memory: I can't remember when but about 20 years ago or more, there was a knock at my door; there stood Mary Jane. All she said was "bring a spoon and meet me at the trunk of my car." "What??? I need a spoon?" "Yes, get a spoon now and hurry up, I'm headed to Gridley and can't be late." So, with spoon in hand I went to her trunk and there was a huge bowl of her "famous potato salad". She removed part of the cover and said to get a taste of the best potato salad in the world. I did!! She was so right!! It was absolutely yummy. She told me the ingredients, covered the salad back up, closed the trunk, got in her car and was on her way to Gridley in a minute!!
Her potato salad has been a family favorite ever since. I cannot show up to a family event without it!! Thanks Mary Jane; you sure started something!!
I will miss her smile and her laugh, her friendship - I will miss her.
