I met "Bud" through his partner, Martha, close to 30 years ago. Martha and I worked together for Butte County. She knew I played softball and told me about Bud, as he also enjoyed sports.
We played together on a coed softball team with the local FRRPD. He was an excellent player and you could always depend on Bud to be there and put forth his best effort.
We had a great team with the best camaraderie. We loved going to Round Table Pizza, having beer and pizza and rehashing the game. We enjoyed this friendship for at least 20 years. We won some trophies and even went to some weekend tournaments in Tahoe.
He was a true friend and will be forever in my heart.
