Obituary of Marlene Sue Wright
Her Legacy… Marlene Sue Wright was born on July 25, 1940 in Oroville, California to Silas and Juanita Edwards. Marlene was raised in Feather Falls, California, along with her four sisters Opal, Mary Ellen, Cookie, and Judy. Marlene was also blessed with three stepbrothers, Larry, Dick and Chuck and one stepsister, Joanie. Marlene passed away on July 22, 2016 in Chico, California. She met and married Edward Wright on November 24, 1960, and they spent the next 53 years together building a wonderful home for their children and grandchildren. Marlene loved her garden, camping, cooking, baking, bunco, and spending time with her family and her friends. She will be remembered as a wonderful baker after dedicating over 30 years to baking at Oroville Hospital and Safeway. She will remain in our hearts as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Her Family… Marlene is survived by her son Edward Wright, Jr. of Oroville, California; her daughter Debbie Gibbs and her husband Bryce of Chico, California; her daughter Nancy Van Vleck and her husband Robert of Enterprise, Alabama; her grandchildren James Van Vleck; Brandon Gibbs; Lindey Neves; Lacey Wright; Cameron Gibbs; Dustin Gibbs; Ashley Van Vleck; Allison Van Vleck; and her seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Wright.
Her Farewell Service… Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home in Oroville, California. Arrangements entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-38777.
