Obituary of Rodger Ward Townsend

Rodger Townsend was born February 16, 1947, to James and Lavon Townsend, in Oroville, CA. He attended Chico State University and earned a master’s degree in teaching. He taught for Oroville union high school district for 46 years.

He was married to Kathy for 34 years. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and family. He was an avid hunter and fisher. He had 3 children, Thomas(Amanda) Bowen, Christopher(Anjuli) Townsend, and Jennifer(Jason) Townsend. He had 10 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Lavon Townsend, and his brother Jimmy Townsend. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
