Obituary of Kerri Dee Thompson

Kerri Dee Thompson, 54 of Gridley. She passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 in Carmichael, CA of natural causes. She was born on July 8, 1961 in Los Angeles, California. Kerri was a long time resident of Gridley having moved here during her high school years. She enjoyed sports, music, and writing poetry. She was considered by her many friends as a big sister and would do anything for anybody. She was a spiritual loving person and loved her dog “Stinker”; she was a member of the LDS church. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James A. Olson, and parental grandparents, Roy and Lola Thompson. She is survived her mother, Jane Cassady of Gridley, and father, Kent Thompson of Santa Cruz, California, maternal grandmother Jewel Olson Dewsnup, five brothers, Michael Thompson, of Kauai, Hawaii, Ralph Cassady of Gridley, Joe Cassady of Marysville, Mike Cassady of Gridley, and Chris Thompson of Santa Cruz, three sisters, Sheila Salter of Auburn, CA, Lisa McAlpine of Aptos, CA, twin sister, Sherri Coats of North Dakota, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Inurnment will be held at the Gridley Biggs Cemetery.
