Obituary of Rebecca Jean Lightle

Becky was born on July 4th 1962 in Yuba City CA to Jean and Jim Davis of Live Oak CA. She passed from this life at home November 11th 2022. Becky graduated from Live Oak High School in 1980, (some may remember her dressed as the Lion Mascot at Basketball games.) After that she attended Butte Community College. She was married to Jim Lightle in 1982 and then was an Air Force wife for four years while working as a graphic artist and type setter. She went to work for Butte County Social Services in 1986 and had a 27 year career in Administration and Management before retiring.  Becky’s hobbies included singing Christian Praise and Worship music in church and special events, teaching Sunday School and organizing outreach events benefiting the local homeless and needy. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Oroville. 

She was preceded in death by her father Jim Davis and is survived by her mother Jean Risenhoover Thetford, her sister Tammy Adams, her husband of 40 years Jim Lightle, son Chris Lightle and a huge number of extended family and friends. 

A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church of Oroville, 2661 Yard Street on Saturday
