Obituary of Nancy Lea Howarth
Nancy was born on June 17, 1942 in Benkelman, Nebraska.
She died on September 3, 2022 in Chico, California. She was 80 years old.
She attended Thermalito schools. She resided most of her life in Oroville, California. Preceded in
death were her parents, Nina Grace (Sherbondy) and Louis Herbert Pixler. She is survived by
three brothers. Larry & (spouse)Susan Pixler, Lanny & (spouse) Sandy Pixler and Galen Pixler.
Her long time Howarth-in-laws, Jim & Sylvia Brock, Margaret Gogia and Shirley Knowlton. Her
three sons and their spouses: Daniel & Julie Howarth, Randel & Tawnya Howarth and Dustin &
Cindy Howarth. Her grandchildren – Misty Weagant, James Howarth, Michael Howarth, Wesley
Howarth, Dennis Howarth, Christopher Howarth, Leia Wright, Allex Howarth, Nate Matthews,
Kim Matthews, & Nicholas Matthews and over 20 great grandchildren and many nieces,
nephews and friends.
When Nancy was young she was a very rambunctious little girl. She loved spending time outside
and playing with the neighborhood children. She could give all the boys in the neighborhood a
run for their money, including her brothers. Nancy was a great wife and mother. She loved
shopping, bowling and most of all spending holidays and time with family and friends. She
worked with her best friend Zelma Dillard at Zelma’s Snack Bar in the old bowling alley in
Oroville. She also worked at the Feather Falls Casino as a Blackjack Dealer.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday September 14, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the
Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd. in Oroville, California.
