Obituary of Rickey Arden Carpenter
His Legacy… Rickey was born to parents Arden and Patsy Carpenter on September 16, 1942 in Quincy, CA. Rickey grew up and lived most of his life in Oroville. He graduated from Oroville High School and attend college in Sacramento. In 1965, he married the love of his life Antonia (Toni) Burckhard. He worked for 35 years for the State of California at the Department of Water Resources. Rickey died in his home, surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 19, 2016. He was 72 years old. Rickey loved bow hunting at Lake Almanor and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
His Family… Rickey is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Toni, son Rick Jr of Galt Ca. and Kevin and wife Amanda of Herriman, Utah and five grandchildren Devin, Keaton, Kylee, Ashley and Samee. Rickey had numerous sister in laws, brother in laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, mother and brother and his beloved dog JD.
His Farewell Service… Because of his love of the outdoors a celebration of life is on Saturday June 25, 2016 at North Forebay - Ramadas from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. The family is grateful for the condolences, no flowers please those wishing can donate in Rickey's name to the Oroville Animal Shelter, 2787 S 5th Avenue Oroville, CA 95965.
