OBITUARY GRIDLEY-BLOCK FUNERAL CHAPEL 679 OHIO STREET / P.O BOX 276 GRIDLEY, CALIFORNIA 95948 PH: 530-846-2138 FAX: 530-846-2897 A private graveside service will be held for August Lloyd “Foxy” Fox, 85, of Gridley CA. He passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, in Chico, CA. Lloyd was born November 27, 1930, in Lawton, ND, one of seven children born to August and Agnes Fox. Lloyd was a longtime resident of Gridley having owned and operated Fox TV Repair. He also worked at the Libby’s Cannery for many years. He enjoyed music and played the guitar and mandolin and wrote music. He also enjoyed watching football games on TV. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Alaska. He was a member of the JC’s (junior chamber of commerce). He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Myrtle Norton, LaVerne Moreau, Florence Moilanen and one brother Robert Fox. He is survived by two sisters, Elenore Reynolds of Gridley and Betty Olson of Robbins, CO and numerous nieces and nephews. Inurnment will be in the Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
