Obituary of Paul Lamar Newkirk

Paul passed away on July 7, 2022, at the age of 86 in Oroville, CA.

He was the proud father of 4 children, sons Kel Newkirk and Darrin Newkirk, and his daughters, Barb Grosso and Kim Peoples.

He leaves behind 6 granddaughters and 5 grandsons:  Joe, Katie, Christi, Jennifer, Josh, Gary Jr., Kimber, Stephanie, Kyle, Kailey and Jayden.  Other family members include his Aunts, Joy Stanbrook and Kathy Niebes and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Paul was preceded in death by his wife Karen Newkirk.

Paul enjoyed golf, hunting, all sorts of racing or anything related to cars.  He was part of a wonderful senior community at Pacifica Senior Living in Oroville, where he had many dear friends.  He also spent some time volunteering for the Butte County S.T.A.R.S. (Sheriff's Team of Active Retired Seniors).

He will be missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. 

His memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday July 28, 2022 at Oroville Funeral Home.
