Obituary of Judy Kay Henson

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Judy Kay Henson passed away from illness in Oroville on May 12 2022. We are comforted to know that she is with God and no longer in pain. She was born to Wesley Emmitt and Lilly Virginia Morris in Gridley, Ca. and lived her entire life in Butte County. Judy worked as an employment counselor for the EDD for over 30 years. She helped people find jobs and benefits during their times of unemployment. She was happily married to Gerry Norman Henson Aug. 2, 1980. He preceded her in death Dec. 12 2010. Judy was an animal lover and always had at least one cat. She was very active in the church, and later in life played the organ during worship. Judy is survived by her Sister Barbara, 3 stepsons; Rick, Randy, and Dennis, 5 nephews, a niece, 3 Grandchildren and one great Granddaughter “Mia”. Services will be held in the pavilion at the Gridley-Biggs cemetery on May 23rd at Noon. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
