Obituary of Stephen Craig Myers

Stephen "Steve" Myers passed away on April 23, 2022 at the age of 68, in his home in Gridley, California after a courageous battle with cancer. He left this world surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born on Aug 2, 1953. Son of Phyllis and John Myers. He had a passion for many things and excelled at everything he did. He was an avid reader and a speed reader at that. Served in the Airforce for 4 years and then went on to work for the U.S. Forestry for 29 years where he retired as the manager of the ECC in Quincy, Calif. He made Gridley his home soon after retirement to be closer to family and friends. He had a passion for computer technology spent many hours working on assembling, repairing and even opened his own computer business in Quincy, Calif. (ComputerWorks) and then eventually creating webpage designs. He created Wildlandfire.com after retirement to continue to support the Wildland Fire community he loved. His passion for Ancestry began in the later years of his life. Beginning with immediate families and went on to become a member of Search Angels to help others find family members. Steve is survived by his wife Stephanie (27 years) of Gridley, Ca. Daughter Kathy Horan (Shawn) of Lincoln, Ca. Grandson's Riley (Taylor) of New York and Conlin Horan (Lincoln) they were loved by their grandpa much and he was always excited to hear of each new adventure in their life. He will be missed greatly by all that loved him and all he helped throughout his life. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
