Obituary of Mildred Arlene Mayberry
Her Legacy… Mildred Arlene Mayberry was born on May 10, 1930 in Meeker, Colorado to Elmer and Bessie Bean. Mildred passed away on May 26, 2016 just after her 86th birthday. She was married to Richard Lee Mayberry for 42 years. They moved to Butte County in the 1960’s and resided here until their passing. Mildred worked for Pac Bell where she was one of the original telephone switchboard operators and retired from there after 38 years. Mildred was extremely fond of flowers, yard sales and people watching. They say she would drive 25 miles to save a dollar. She was a very giving and selfless person who her step children said “she always raised and treated us as her own”. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Her Family… Mildred is survived by her 3 sons, Leroy (Dixie) Mayberry, Jimmy (Linda) Mayberry, and Stanley (Nancy) Mayberry, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her her parents, husband and her son David Mayberry.
Her Farewell Service…A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson St. Oroville, CA. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Ramsey Funeral Home with a graveside committal to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd. Oroville, CA. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
