Obituary of Clifford Dean Widener
On April 3, 2022, Clifford Dean Widener, loving brother and uncle, passed away at age 74.
He was born in Oroville, CA on June 13, 1947 to Clifford and Myrtle Widener. Affectionately known as Dean, he graduated from Las Plumas High School and spent his adult life working at both canneries as a warehouseman and a supervisor. He also dedicated his life to caring for his youngest brother, Kenneth (Kenny).
Dean had a true love for the outdoors and spent many days floating down the Feather River and swimming at various local watering holes. He was a collector of puzzles and spent many days putting together the intricate pieces for display. To his family and friends, Dean was known for his ornery sense of humor and his giving nature. In recent years, he spent his time baking for family members’ birthdays and enjoying family dinners. Dean loved his family deeply and we take comfort in knowing that he is back with his parents and Kenny.
Dean is preceded in death by his father Clifford (“Kip”), his mother Myrtle, his brothers Fred and Kenneth, and his sister Mary. He is survived by his siblings Arther (Verlene), Carol (Gary), William (Christina), Betty (William), and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Ramsey Funeral Home on April 12, 2022 at 10:30am. Burial will be directly after at Memorial Park Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his brother Kenny.
