Obituary of Evelyn Mae Ingraham

Evelyn M. (Zander) Ingraham A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gridley for Evelyn M. (Zander) Ingraham 80, of Gridley. She passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her home in Gridley. She was born on November 27, 1935 in Bismarck, North Dakota the eldest of 2 daughters born to Leo and Rosealie Zander. In 1936 the Zander family moved to Vallejo, CA where Evelyn attended local Catholic School, and graduated from Vallejo High School class of 1953. She met and married Orlan Ingraham who served in the U.S. Air Force. Together they were stationed in the Far East and Europe. In 1968 they returned to California and moved to Gridley. Over the years Evelyn worked in the office at the Libby McNeil Cannery, and owned and operated Ingraham’s Tax Service. She volunteered many years as a member of the Gleaner’s, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gridley. She enjoyed traveling, and was very devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Orlan Ingraham. She is survived by her son Orlan (Stephanie) Ingraham, her granddaughter Evangelina Rosealie Evelyn Ingraham, and her sister Virginia Kopp all of Gridley. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gridley. Father Avram Brown of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate the service.
