Obituary of Murval Lois Mangus

Murval Lois Mangus was born 7/16/1945 in Oroville CA, to Louis and Vada Emmett. Murval passed away on 2/15/2022 at her home in Rocklin CA, surrounded by loved ones. She was known and adored as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed reading, game shows, crossword puzzles with Ms. Kathy, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Murval married James W. Mangus 2/17/1966 in Ukiah CA. They had four children together and raised them all in Oroville, CA. She enjoyed trips to the coast and occasional trips to Reno. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ in Oroville. Murval retired from the Thermalito School District, then devoted her to time to being a full-time mother & grandmother to many. Murval is survived by her daughter Stacy & her husband Bob Frank of Oroville, her son Jimmy & his wife Elizabeth Mangus of Rocklin CA, her daughter Kathryne & her husband Daynn Miller of Magalia CA, her son “Big Bill” Mangus of Oroville, and a brother Charles Emmett of Yuma AZ. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren: Rory, Megan, Susan, Dylan, Savannah, Madeline, Collin, Jeremy, and Shannon. Murval is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild coming, soon as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in Death by her Husband, James, her parents Louis & Vada, her sister Helen Grivette-Cardwell, brother Bo Emmett, and sister Laneda Emmett. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 25th @ 12:00 pm, at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street, Oroville CA. 95965.
