Obituary of William Leo Longson
His Legacy… William Leo Longson was born on March 18, 1933 in Bountiful, Utah to Angus and Grace Longson. Leo passed away on May 14, 2016 at the age of 83, in Oroville, California. He met and married the love of his life Dorothy Dyett; they were married for 52 years when she passed away. Leo enjoyed playing golf, woodworking and tending to his roses. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, and his best friend (his dog) Sammy. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
His Family… Leo is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Bill) Pennington of Pourm, OK; Kristi (Scott) Lester of Utah, and son Ken (Erin) Longson of Pasadena, CA; and his sister Edna Rae Person of Utah, 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy, his sisters Earlene and Faye, his brother Blaine, his daughter Cheryl and sons Bill, Mike and Kevin.
His Farewell Service…His Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home 1175 Robinson St. Oroville, CA. His Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery 5646 Lincoln Blvd Oroville, California. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
