His legacy… Alberto Nuñez Reyes was born on April 8, 1947 in Las Hacienditas, Durango, Mexico to parents Carmen & Cristino Reyes. He passed away on December 13, 2021 in Oroville, California. Alberto was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He valued family before anything and worked hard throughout his life to support his family. Alberto started working at the tender age of 8 in agriculture in Mexico, he migrated to America to live out the “American dream”. He established new roots for his family and became an entrepreneur. Alberto owned the Mexican Restaurant Casa Vieja located in Oroville, since 1985. Alberto was the eldest of ten siblings and respected as the leader of the family. He paved the way for many that came after him. Alberto was affectionately known for his caring smile and jokester personality. He enjoyed gardening to his fruit trees, listening to norteño music and most of all watching his grandkids play. His family… Alberto is survived by his wife Genoveva; children Juan, Jackie & Jose Alberto; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren along with lots of family and friends. He is preceded in death by parents Carmen & Cristino Reyes; Brothers Jose Nuñez Reyes & Claudio Reyes Nuñez; and sister Porfiria Sanchez Reyes. The farewell service… His visitation and rosary will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4 PM to 12 AM, with the rosary starting at 6 PM, at Ramsey Funeral home 1175 Robinson St. in Oroville California. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM, at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Alberto es un amado esposo, padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, hermano, tío, primo y amigo. Valoraba a la familia antes que nada y trabajó duro durante toda su vida para mantener a su familia. Alberto comenzó a trabajar a los 8 años en la agricultura en México, emigró a Estados Unidos para vivir el "sueño americano". Estableció nuevas raíces para su familia y se convirtió en emprendedor. Alberto era dueño del Restaurante Mexicano Casa Vieja ubicado en Oroville, desde 1985. Alberto era el mayor de diez hermanos y respetado como líder de la familia. Abrió el camino para muchos que vinieron después de él. Alberto era conocido cariñosamente por su alegre sonrisa y personalidad bromista. Disfrutaba de la jardinería de sus árboles frutales, escuchando música norteña y sobre todo ver a sus nietos jugar. Su familia… Lo sobreviven su esposa Genoveva; sus hijos Juan, Jackie & Jose Alberto; sus 5 nietos y 3 bisnietos junto con muchos familiares y amigos. Le anteceden en la muerte su madre y su padre Carmen & Cristino Reyes; Los hermanos Jose Nuñez Reyes y Claudio Reyes Nuñez; y hermana Porfiria Sánchez Reyes. El servicio de despedida ... Su visitación y rosario se llevarán a cabo el miércoles 29 de diciembre de 2021 a las 4 PM hasta 8 PM, el rosario empezará a las 6 PM, en la funeraria Ramsey 1175 Robinson St. Oroville California.
