Obituary of Marjie Gamel

Marjie Leoane (Rockford) Gamel Marjie, age 89, passed away on October 17, 2021, at Windsor Chico Care Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Marjie was the sixth child of 11 children born to William and Leona (Gilman) Rockford. She was born on January 25, 1932 in her parents’ home in Brunswick, Nebraska. Marjie was united in marriage on September 30, 1951 to Edward W. Gamel in Wolfpoint, Montana. From their union they had 3 children Bill of Biggs, CA; Bobbi of Cottonwood, CA and Leona of Kingman, AZ Marjie is survived by her children and two brothers Jim of Arizona and Chester of Nebraska; six grandchildren Crystal of Missouri, Scott, Tim and Jennifer of California, Mindy of Arizona and James in Australia; 8 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She and Edward also cared for multiple foster children. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.
