Obituary of Fredrick David Wood

Fredrick David Wood was born in 1976 at Fairchild Airforce Base in Spokane, WA to Clyde and Susan Wood. He has a younger brother and sister, James and Lucinda. He moved to Twin Falls until early childhood, and then onto Jerome, Idaho. He graduated from Jerome High School in 1994. After a few more years in Jerome, he joined Grayback Forestry as a wildland firefighter in 1998. He met Heather in 2003, and moved to southern Oregon. Fred and Heather joined their four children Shawnee, Jaideon, Samantha, and Jonathan together into a new family in 2004, and added one more for good measure, Adeline. They moved to Boise in 2007 where Fred attended Boise Bible College. During his studies he was a Chaplain for people in Hospice care and volunteered for ministry work at the local jail. He graduated in 2012 with his bachelor's degree in preaching. He received the Spirit of Evangelism Award for the graduating Class. Fred took his first preaching job as an associate pastor in Willamina, OR in 2013. After three years he did a short stint in Sweet Home, Oregon before accepting the Pastor position here in Oroville at Pursuit Christian Church. Sadly, Fred's mom passed away in 2017 but he is survived by Grandma Gigi, Aunts and Uncles in Salem, OR, his Father, all five of the children, and of course Heather. Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 6:00 PM at 3556 Oro Bangor Hwy. Oroville, California 95966.
