Obituary of Bathus Alyne Roberts
Bathus Alyne Roberts, passed away on August 13, 2021 in Oroville, California. Bathus was born June 26, 1925 in Sallisaw, County of Sequoyah, Oklahoma. Her father Ben Webb and mother Emma Quinton were pioneer's and farmers, in Brushy Creek where the homestead was established.
The family move out to California in the 1940's. Mom work for one of the plants supplying parts for the war effort. A true "Rosie the Rivetor."
She married Ralph Roy Roberts in 1947, In Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in Los Angeles for a time then move to Oroville, California.
She joined the Orange Grove Rebekah Lodge #84 served as Past Noble Grand and a member since 1962. Bathus was Past District Deputy President of District Number 23 of the Rebekah's and Drill team installed all other lodges.
Bathus was a member of the Thermalto Grange and Eastern Star. Also a member of W. T. Sherman Corp.
Bathus was also Major in the Civil Air Patrol, she really enjoyed her roll in developing young people and search and rescue skills. She was very community minded and involved.
She graduated from Chico State University with a degree in education, and taught elementary and special needs children,
She is survived her three children Diana Franklin, Boyd, Debra Stouky, Ralph Roy Roberts Jr. ,Gale, eight Grandchildren: Kristi, Jason, Dustine, Jon, Shane, Karrle, Ben, Megan. Eleven Greatgrandchildren: Amanda, Kailey, Mason, JT, Julian, Kaya, Steven, Gabriel, Noah, Madilyn, and Libby.
