Obituary of John Marvin Stowe

A celebration of life for John Marvin Stowe, 70, of Gridley, will be held September 30, 2021, at noon, at the Moose Lodge in Gridley. He died August 10, 2021. He was born August 22, 1950, in Gridley and remained a resident of Butte County his whole life. He was on the Manzanita School Board, a member of North Butte Lodge #230, Ben Ali Shriners, Farm Bureau, Gridley Moose Lodge #1594, and Monday night football. He was on the CCPA Delegate Committee, he managed the Golden Butte Receiving Station and also worked for Valley Utilities of Sacramento. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Stowe; sons, Justin and Jonathan Stowe; brothers, James and wife Christina Stowe, Jake and wife Kelly Stowe, all of Gridley; sisters, Janet and husband Emmanuel Silva of Gridley, Julie Sample and husband Ken, of Bishop, CA; 5 nieces, 3 nephews and 3 great-nieces and 3 great-nephews who he always enjoyed visiting.
