Obituary of Martha Valeria Shaner
Martha Valeria "Val" Shaner, age 78 passed away on peacefully July 21, 2021 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born March 6, 1943 in Pueblo, Colorado to Walter and Louise Kuszyk who preceded her in death.
Val loved spending time with her family and taking her October trips to Tahoe. She rarely kept still. She retired after 32 years of service with the Oroville Postal Service, where as she said it "I did it all one time or another at the US Post Office". She then began working for Feather River Recreation & Park District for 20 + years where she kept scores for sports activities. She was a lifelong member of Independent Order of Oddfellows & Rebecca Lodge.
People describe her as everybody's mom. With an easy going spirit and a natural knack of how to live in the moment.
Val is survived by her three daughters, Ronda (Bill) Cash, Shari (Jeff) Wright and Cari (David) Mackley. Grandchildren, Amber, Billy & Jason, Anthony, Lacey, Presley, Cian, Becky, Walker, Richard and Amelia, as well as 15 great grandchildren.
