Obituary of Dovie Novella Griffin

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 25, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Victory Chapel in Live Oak for Dovie Novella Griffin, 87 of Gridley. She was born October 13, 1933, in Reeds Spring, Missouri, one of 11 children born to George and Ova Johnson. Dovie was a longtime resident of Gridley, having worked at Libby Cannery for many years. She was very devoted to her family and church. She was also instrumental in leading many to the Lord. She was always supporting her kids and grandkids in all their activities. She was a member of Victory Chapel in Live Oak, which was her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Griffin, two sons; Jack and James Patrick, and one daughter Janice Gentry. She is survived by her daughter Linda Cabrera of Gridley, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pastor Tim Stewart of Victory chapel will officiate the service. Interment will be in the Gridley Biggs Cemetery. Donations in Dovie’s honor may be made to the Victory Chapel in Live Oak. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, 530-846-2138.
