Kathryn Pfister

Obituary of Kathryn Carolyn Pfister

Kathryn Pfister “Kathy or Chech” was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world unexpectedly on March 13, 2021, at the age of 78. She was born to Robert and Elizabeth Haller on November 29, 1942. She attended Gridley schools. After graduating from high school, Kathy attended Yuba College. She married Tobe Pfister and together they had 3 children; Kristine, Joseph, and Nannette. She loved spending time in her kitchen and gardening. Kathy was dedicated to her family and always put them first. She followed all of her family to their sporting events and rodeos and loved to travel up and down the state, and even out of state, to be part of their lives. There was no bigger fan! She never met a stranger and everyone that knew her gravitated to her gracious personality. Kathy was a very spiritual lady and a lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church. She was active in many activities including teaching the word to others, choir and bells. She was unshaken in her faith, and her devotion to God was admirable. She is survived by her children Kristine (Bill), Joseph (Clarissa), and Nannette; along with her grandchildren Zachary, Ethan (Jessica), Michael, Luke, Tristin, Ally, and Abigail; one great-grandchild Sage, her sister Margaret (Peggy) Neves, and her two nieces Lenore Rooney and Stacey Cranfill. A graveside service will be held at Gridley Biggs Cemetery in the gazebo on Wednesday March 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. with a celebration of life immediately following, at the Gridley Moose Lodge. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, 530-846-2138.
