We were in school together from First Grade on. Patsy was so full of fun and light. I recall in the 5th grade at a talent show in front of the whole Sycamore School, she and Brenda (or maybe it was Paula, I can't remember now) did a dance number to a song dressed in hobo costumes. Suddenly, Patsy's pants fell down! We all got the biggest laugh out of it, but she just pulled them back up and went on with the performance. She was so darling and loved by everyone. I will always remember her big heart and wonderful smile. My prayers are for all who will miss her. Susan Bartschi Jones

I was so sad to hear of Patsy's passing. She was truly a free spirit and so talented. Her artistic abilities were amazing. I once asked her why she didn't sell her beautiful, one-of-a-kind purses and Christmas stockings to a high-end store and she replied, "that would make it work and take the joy out of it." She will be missed.

I’m sorry for your loss of Patsy. I wanted to share my first memory of Patsy, and it dates back to the mid 1950s. In those days lots of girls in Gridley took dance lessons from Fay LoRey. She had a studio behind her house, and kids from kindergarten through high school tapped and toe danced their way to local stardom. Fay arranged for a bunch of her dancers to perform at the State Fair in Sacramento which was very exciting to us small town girls. Patsy and I were members of this little troupe. I was around 9 so Patsy was about 8. After our performances we were walking behind the stage, and a clown in full regalia came walking from the opposite direction. Patsy was a cute little blond, and she walked up to him and said “Hey, Mister. Are your feet really that big?” To which he answered ”Nope, just my toenails.” Patsy was brave to talk to a total stranger.
