Obituary of Shirley Ann Miller
Shirley Ann Miller was born January 20, 1948 in Oroville, CA and passed away February 21, 2021.
She attended schools in East Biggs and Biggs; she graduated from Biggs High School in 1966. She was involved in many school activities and was picked as the most athletic girl in her class. She married Ed Miller in 1968 and had two sons, Robert and Michael. In 1979 she was hired as the Biggs High librarian and worked there for 31 years. She helped many students during her time there as the CSF advisor. After retirement in 2009, she volunteered at the Butte County Historical Society and helped take care of the Ehmann Home History Museum in Oroville. She and Ed helped at the museum, and spent countless hours giving back to the community. She was a dedicated worker and she loved teaching people about genealogy. She excelled at researching and building family trees. Her main passion was quilting and she was very proud of the several first place ribbons that her quilts earned at the fair.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ed; their two sons Robert and Michael; and her granddaughter Madison. She is also survived by her sisters Harriet, Norma, and Margeret and brother, Claude.
