Rose Marie Hoisington
Rose Marie Hoisington, a longtime resident of Oroville, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016, in the company of her family. She was born in 1940 in Chico California. Rose was an avid seamstress and spent over 40 years in the business. Rose had a contagious laugh, a kind heart, and a sincere love for family and friends. Her door was always open to those in need. She always gave from the abundance of her heart.
Rose loved nature. Camping and swimming with her children was one of her cherished past times. She loved the Lord and shared her faith with those around her. Spring was her favorite time of year. With flowers in full bloom, it seemed to brighten her world.
Rose is survived by six children; Walter Strickland, Kevin Hoisington, Kathleen Martin, Charles Hoisington, Christeen Hoisington and Lloyd Hoisington, nine grandchildren; Scott Hoisington, Dale Owens, Cody Smith, Jessica Hoisington, Kaleb Hoisington, Tyler Hoisington, Timothy Hoisington, Anthony Hoisington, Michael Hoisington and several great grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral Services for Rose will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd., Oroville, California 95966 on Tuesday the 29th of March at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of friends and family will follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1430 Pine Street Oroville, California 95965
The family requests to please wear something purple or lavender to honor her favorite color the day of her Farewell Service.
