Obituary of Maria G. Jauregui

Maria G. Jauregui, 88 of Gridley CA. Maria passed away March 21, 2016 at Enloe Hospital in Chico. Maria was born on September 29, 1927 in San Francisco Municipio de Jalos Totitlan, Jalisco, Mexico to Jose and Aniceta Santillan. She immigrated to the states in 1974 and made Gridley her home with her family. She had a green thumb in gardening, and also enjoyed raising canaries, sewing and going to the casino. She mostly enjoyed being with family and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ramon, and Antonio Jauregui. Maria is survived by her husband of 71 years, Lazaro Jauregui, eleven children, Jesus Jauregui of Los Angeles, CA, Teresa Escamilla of San Diego, CA, Rosa Martinez, Javier Jauregui, Esperanza Leon, Choncha Ramirez, Cuca Hudson, Ramon Jauregui, Arturo Jauregui, Carlos Jauregui, all of Gridley, CA., Angelica Rosales of Sacramento, CA. twenty-nine grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at the church. Father Avram Brown will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Gridley Biggs Cemetery.
