Obituary of Roisin Marie Fontes

Roisin Marie Fontes passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021. She was born on July 23, 1966, in Tacoma Washington to Maura and Warren Pickering. Roisin, or more favorably known as Ro, lived a fulfilling life as a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Roisin loved her family and devoted most of her time to her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and spoiling each child with handfuls of candy after each game. She opened her heart and her home to many children over the years, and was known to many as “Grandma Ro.” In addition to spending time with family, Roisin also loved to be out in nature and could often be found “glamping” all over the North State. Roisin was preceded in death by her son Steven. She is survived by her husband, Floyd Fontes; son Chris Zevely; two daughters, Trisha Zevely and Ashley Tanner; parents, Maura and Warren Pickering; sisters, Carol, Jeannette, and Cassie; brother, Sean; and 5 grandchildren, McKenzie and Elliot Tanner, Aurora and Hazel Zevely, and Bo Dake.
