Patricia Ann (White) Anderson Salaz posted a condolence
Thursday, January 28, 2021
Cheri Lyn Anderson Marchand was my beloved step-daughter and good friend since we were young adults. I was married to her father, Forrest Carlton (Andy) Anderson, until his passing on June 10, 1964. His death was the result of a tragic truck wreck due to brake failure on a steep hill in Eugene, OR, while driving a dump truck owned by for Wildish Construction, of Eugene. My grief at his untimely and tragic passing was, and is, a blow that I will mourn until my days are done. He was a wonderful son to his widowed mother, Ida Mae Anderson, a loving father to Cheri and Kathy, a true friend to many, and my wonderful, devoted, generous, and fun-loving, best friend and husband. I will miss his cheery smile, his sunny disposition, and his sense of humor until my last day.
Cheri and I lost touch with each other for a period of years, but were, thankfully, reunited through Facebook.
Cheri was a kind and wonderful person, and as good a friend as anyone could be blessed to have. I will love and miss Cheri until my last day on this earth, and I hope to be reunited with her and all of my family when my time on this earth is done. God Bless you and keep you safe until we meet again.
