Obituary of Steve Paul Ban

Steve Paul Ban age 100 of Colusa, CA passed away at Colusa Hospital on December 4, 2020. There will be no funeral services as per Steve’s wishes. Steve was born in San Jose, CA on September 16, 1920. Steve was a Machinist’s Mate Third Class in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. Steve married Josephine Sciortino in 1948 and they were married for 51 years. Steve was a prune farmer for many years and did custom prune harvesting for his neighboring prune farmers until he decided to sell his ranch and purchase another property where he built his & Josephine’s home and planted the orchard with peaches. He harvested peaches up until he sold everything and moved to Colusa in 2017 to be closer to family. Steve enjoyed working on old engines and making hot rods out of them. One of his favorite hobbies was to tinker in his shop and make things from metal and old disc blades! He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother-in-law John Sciortino for many years. Steve was preceded in death by his loving wife Josephine Ban and his brother John Ban. Steve is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces.
