Obituary of Joyce Lee Holt

Her Legacy… Joyce L. Holt was born on March 26, 1937 in Eureka, California to Roy and Melba Holt. Joyce passed away March 1, 2016. She graduated from Oroville High School in 1955. She worked thirty three years as an assistant Resource Clerk for the U.S. Forest Service on the Plumas and Lassen National Forest. After retiring she continued on volunteering her time at the Oroville Gleaners and playing her bass guitar with members of the Sunshine Band for local care homes bringing joy to all with their Honky Tonk Country music. She enjoyed visiting everyone on her “face book” as this brought her lots of joy knowing what was going on with her family and friends. Joyce believed in making people happy by giving. She will be remembered by family and friends for her kindness and wearing her cowgirl hats of many colors. Her Family… Joyce is survived by her step brothers Ray (Laurie) Sousa, Mike Sousa, nieces Erica, Jessyca, Henna, along with many cousins and best friend Terri Gutiereez. Joyce has been reunited in heaven with her Father, Mother, Stepfather Manual Sousa and cousin Linda Harp. Her Farewell Service…Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Ramsey Funeral Home 1175 Robinson Street Oroville, California. Private Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877. In lieu of flowers make any donations to the Oroville Gleaners or the SPCA
