Obituary of Betty Jo Roseland
Her Legacy...Betty Jo Roseland was born on August 12, 1929 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Charlie and Mattie Flint. She was the last surviving of 8 children. Betty passed away on September 19, 2020 in Oroville, California at the age of 91. She was a sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Betty moved from Oklahoma to southern California in 1948 where she graduated from high school. She met and married her husband Jim, in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1997. They were married 48 years. They had three children, Bill, Shirley and Judy. They moved to Oroville, California in 1990 to be near their two daughters. When Betty wasn't home taking care of her pets and watching old westerns on TV, she was at one of the local restaurants having lunch then taking in a matinee at Feather River Cinemas with her daughter Shirley. She loved to travel and over the years took trips to Ashland, OR, New Mexico, Hawaii, the New England States for the changing of the fall colors, Florida and the Bahamas.
Her Family.. Betty loved and was loved by her 3 children, Bill Roseland of Prescott, AZ; Shirley Loomis of Bangor, CA; and Judy Eutsler of Browns Valley, CA; 6 grandchildren, Nancy, Elizabeth, Joshua, Michael, Sarah and Kaitlyn; 6 great grandchildren, Ryan, Brendan, Leila, Emma, Addison and Stanley; and 2 great-great grandchildren Julian and Isabella. Betty also had many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She had a special place in everyone's heart and will be cherished, treasured and missed by all.
Her Farewell Service... Betty's family will celebrate her life privately. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
