Obituary of Lola Jean Venson

Her Legacy… Lola Jean Barton Sills Venson was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Wendell, Idaho to Leland and Doris Barton. She attended Bangor Elementary School and was a graduate of Las Plumas High School. Lola married her High School sweetheart, Benjamin Sills who was tragically killed in an accident not long after they were married. In Aug. 1965 she married Gay Venson Jr. Together, Lola and Gay raised two daughters. Lola enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and had a super keen sense of humor. She also enjoyed gardening and could make almost anything grow and thrive. Lola passed away, peacefully, Sat. Feb. 20, 2016 following a long and brave battle with cancer. Her Family… Lola is survived by daughters Lavonne (Steven) Applewhite of Sparks, NV and Kelly Eades of Oroville CA. Grandchildren Sara (Andy) Fiannaca, Jennifer (Morgan) Walters, Stevie Applewhite, Robert (Britani) Cyr, Ryan Cyr and great grandson Frankie Cyr. Sisters Lela Embry and Penny (Marvin) Allen, brother Joe Blake and many fabulous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents and brothers Larry Barton and Jim Blake. Her Farewell Service…will begin with a viewing on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Ramsey Funeral Home and followed with her Farewell Service on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at 10:30 am also held at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson St. Oroville, California. Graveside burial services will be at Bangor Cemetery, 5585 La Porte Rd., Bangor, California
