Obituary of Sheila K. Sligar

Sheila K. Sligar, 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on July 14, 2020 in Oroville, California. She was born on October 21, 1942, in Spokane, Washington to Thomas and Mary Agnes Murphy. Sheila's passion was her family, enjoyed cooking and traveling, especially with her family. Sheila was a long-time member of Foothill Blvd Church of Christ. She was a great friend, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. We will miss her greatly, our loss is Heaven's gain. We will see her again one day. A special thank you to Tiffany, (Sheila's bonus granddaughter) for the extra special care she gave to Sheila over the last few months, you were the light in her day. Shelia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gale Sligar, her daughter Rebekah (Becky) Sligar, son and daughter-in-law Darrin and Michelle Sligar, grandsons Tyler and his wife TIffany Sligar, Ezra Sligar and Zek Sligar; and great-grandaughter Kadence Sligar. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Joseph and Donald Murphy and her beloved dog Nemo. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Monday July 27 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street in Oroville. Please come and join the family for a time to share memories and celebrate Sheila's life, refreshments will be served. Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday July 28, 2020, at the Los Molinos Cemetery, 7835 Golden State Hwy, Los Molinos, CA.
