Obituary of Reba Lois Bert

Reba Lois Bert was born in Atkins Arkansas on February 11, 1943 to Robert “Bear” and Pauline (Duvall) Reynolds. Reba was the second of eight children. She helped raise her younger siblings. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on June 19, 2020 due to the complications of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. The family moved to Richmond California when she was a baby. She graduated from Richmond High School. She met and married Paul in less than a week of them knowing each other. This August 3rd, they would have celebrated 59 years of marriage. They raised their family all over America as Paul had a career in the military. They settled in Oroville in 1976, She was an incredible homemaker. She kept an immaculate home, sewed beautiful clothes, and cooked wonderful meals. She instilled in her children, whom she loved deeply, to always be fair, honest, kind, and just and to always do the right thing even if it meant not getting your way. Besides raising her children, she babysat her grandchildren and her oldest great granddaughter while her children worked. She was a great sister and an amazing aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her devoted husband Paul, her sons Ronald (Terry) and Russel, and her daughter Paula Arista (Augustine) as well as her grandchildren in birth order, Aron Bert, Rachele Oropeza, Joshua Bert , Amanda Turner, Austin Stolz, Ember and Levi Bert. She also had six great grandchildren Noah, Ava, Hayden, Jase, Mady, and Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Louis Overstreet, sister and brother in law Linda and Darwin Bennett, and a brother Robert Reynolds. She is survived by her brother Michael Overstreet and sister Sharon “Trudy” Overstreet Jackson, along with numerous nieces and nephews that have expressed they will deeply miss their special aunt.
