Obituary of Mary Bernice Melton
Her Legacy...Mary Bernice Melton was born on November 5, 1944 to Winnifred and Clifford Ackerman. She was one of 9 children. Mary passed away on February 12, 2020 in Reno, Nevada. Mary was tough as nails. As a teenager she loved to ride horses and rope cattle with the guys. Her family was everything to her and she never gave up on them. She loved to play Bingo and going to the Casinos. She also worked in the rice fields with her husband driving heavy equipment. Mom was amazing and we don't know how to put it into words, but she will be deeply missed.
Her Family... She is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Melton, her children, Joleen Ackerman, Danny Garcia, Flora (Charles) Graham, Ronald Melton and Todd Melton, her grandchildren, Dustin Lindley, Andrew Lindley, Amber Acosta, Natasha Lussier, Ashley Martinez, Jessica Sanchez, Griffin Campostrini, Logan Campostrini, Angel Garcia, Deasla Garcia, Cobi Garcia, great grandchildren, Aamira Sanchez, Ila Rose Garcia and David Acosta. She is also survived by her two sisters, Phylis DeJesus, and Gladis Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Winnifred Ackerman and her siblings, Vernon Ackerman, Chuck Ackerman, Jim Ackerman, Joann Sossaman, Norman Ackerman and Glenn Ackerman.
Her Farewell Service... Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 10:30 AM at Ramsey Funeral Home, 1175 Robinson Street. Oroville, California. Graveside Service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd Oroville, California. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
