Obituary of Peter Joseph Cagnacci

His Legacy… Peter "Pete" Joseph Cagnacci, age 76, passed away unexpectedly November 19, 2019 in Oroville, CA. Pete was born on March 28, 1943 in South San Francisco, CA to Peter and Eda Cagnacci. He grew up in Mountain View CA, graduated from Mountain View High School and served in the United States Army. He retired from Lombardo Diamond Core Drilling in 1990. He was a member of Laborers Union 270, Retired Laborers 185, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 196 in Oroville He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many fishing, camping and hunting trips with friends and family. He loved spending time with his friends and family, his family was everything to him.  He also loved to cook for his family, friends and large groups of people. He volunteered and cooked for fundraisers and events for St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and School and for The Eagles. Pete was also a lifelong San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and Golden State Warriors Fan.

His Family… Pete was preceded in death by his father, Peter Cagnacci; his brother Joseph Mario Cagnacci; his parents Raymond and Eda Strickland and his loving wife of 29 years, Carol Sue Cagnacci. He is survived by his son Joseph and daughter-in-law Michelle Cagnacci; granddaughters Valerie, Emily, Amanda and Jessica; daughter Gina and son-in-law Raymond Crosthwaite; granddaughters Raeanne and MiaBella; step-daughter Debora Whipple and his loving companion of six and a half years, Jill Holmes. He was also thrilled that he was going to have a great-grandson arriving in May of 2020.

His Farewell Service… A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:30 AM at The Eagles Hall, 2010 Montgomery Street Oroville, California. Arrangements are entrusted to Ramsey Funeral Home 530-534-3877.
