Obituary of Pedro Mota III
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday November 8, 2019 at 10 am at sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gridley for Pedro Mota III, 33 of Gridley. He passed away on Thursday October 24, 2019 in Gridley.
Pedro was born on August 17, 1986 in Oroville, CA to Pedro Jr. and Sandra Mota. He was a lifelong resident of Gridley, graduating from Gridley High School in 2004. He attended Butte College and worked for the U.S. Postal Service, stationed in Chico. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Desert Storm. He volunteered as the coach of the Gridley Titans Football team. He loved music and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Gregoria Rodriguez, Maria Mota and grandfather, Jorge Rodriguez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Shari Mota, of Gridley, his four children, Romeo, Mia, Khloe, Ellie Mota all of Gridley, his parents, Pedro Mota Jr. and Sandra Mota, of Gridley, two brothers, Juan Mota, Jose (Amanda) Mota, two sisters, Bernice (Tanilo) Sanchez, and Paola Mota, all of Gridley, and his grandfather Pedro Mota Sr. of Gridley.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday November 7 at 7 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements entrusted to Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Gridley Biggs Cemetery. Contributions may be made to www.autism-society.org
