Obituary of Jerry W. Henry
Jerry Wayne Henry was born to Johyn and Naomi Henry on August 27, 1942 in Phoenix, AZ. Jerry grew up in the Yuba City area and graduated from Sutter High School. Jerry spent time at BYU tehn served a mission for the LDS Church in Texas.
Jerry married Myrna Peterson from Gridley on September 3, 1965. During his life, Jerry faithfully served as a Bishop, Stake Councilor, High Priest, Scoutmaster, Seminary teacher and more for the LDS church. Jerry worked tirelessly in the Scouting program ultimately earning the award of Silver Beaver. Jerry also worked 33 years for the Gridley Medical Group and formed many lasting relationships that he truly valued.
Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea, his parents and sister Johan.
He is survived by his wife Myrna, children, Brian (Erin) of Yuba City, Ca., Drew (Sarah) of Oroville, CA., Kim (Brandon) Sanders of Yuba City Ca., Angela (Jed) West of Jordan, UT, seventeen grandchildren, and two brothers, Michael and Richard Henry.
His Services will be held Thursday, January 7, 2015, 1:00 PM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Stake Center, Spruce st. Gridley CA.
A Visitaion will be held at 12:00 pm in the Relief Society Room prior to the Funeral Service.
